Bach Flower Remedies: Natural Herbal Remedies For

Dr. Edward Bach first imagined his flower remedies while walking through an English field of wildflowers, heavy with dew, on a spring morning in 1930. He had an epiphany that the dew contained in the head of the flower contained the healing qualities of the plant. He had recognized early in his career the strong link between the healing process and the state of mind of the patient.

Dr. Bach's Flower Remedies are safe, as they contain the bare essence of the plants they are drawn from, resembling homeopathic remedies in this regard.

We all have a "type remedy", that is made up from the core of the major traits of our personality.

Generally speaking we should identify the core type, and then add other remedies that are relevent for the short term state of mind, keeping the number of remedies used within six or seven. Using too many at once will only muddy the picture. The remedies can be taken directly to the tounge, or mixed with pure mineral water. The standard dose is four drops, four times a day.

If you are interested in learning more, there are many in depth books on the subject. The only text Dr. Bach wrote specifically on the remedies is The Twelve Healers and Other Remedies The system is simple and easy to use, it was his intention that people would only need brief, accure details on how and when to use them, without the confusion of theorectical explanations.
