Jiaogulan Tea for :Weight loss, blood pressure
Weight loss, blood pressure The active constituents in Jiao-gu-lan have been identified as saponins classified as gypenosides, which are very similar in actions and properties to the ginsenoside found in ginseng. The presence of these compounds in high concentrations could explain the strong adaptogenic activity of the herb. It reduces the negative effects of stress, has a normalizing effect on blood pressure, and thins the blood. Daily use of the tea may even help increase the metabolism of fats, and be used in successful weight loss programs.
