| Aromatherapy Air Fresheners : Helpful Herbs :Related:
Lungs/Respiratory * |
| Bring the experience of smelling a fresh pine forest, fresh flowers and ocean breezes into your home. With the use of essential oils and herbs we can freshen the air, disinfect the room and lighten our spirits, things no artificial chemical fragrance can do. For all air fresheners, fill a mist spray bottle with purified water and add 2 parts essential oils to 10 parts of water ( 1 or 2 drops per ml). To keep your scents fresh use a spray bottle with a tight fitting lid, and keep stored in a cool dry place. Glass bottles are preferable to plastic, as essential oils will migrate into the plastic. As the blends age, the scent improves and becomes stronger. |

Using Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy candles can create just the right atmosphere whether its a holiday celebration, a romantic evening or a dinner party, the possibilities are endless. Making your own candles from scratch is best and fun too, but time consuming. The next best thing is purchasing unscented beeswax (if you can afford them) or wax paraffin candles. Place several drops of oil on the wax before lighting them, you can pick pinholes in them to increase oil penetration if you like. The important thing is to avoid dropping oil on the wick or flame.
There are an almost infinite possible combination of blends to use to freshen the air in your home. You are limited only be your imagination and the oils you have on hand. |
